Licensing has no telemetry
Licensing is checked on your Mac. The apps do not send usage, analytics or device information to us, and routine licensing checks carry no license key or identifier of you or your Mac.
Crash reports are off unless you turn them on
SonicTap can send a crash report if the app crashes, but only if you switch on Send anonymous crash reports (in the welcome window or in Settings). It is off by default and you can turn it off at any time; nothing is sent while it is off. A report holds only: the app version and build, your macOS version, the Mac's processor type (arm64 or x86_64), the crash type and code, and a list of code locations in SonicTap and in macOS (image names, their identifiers and offsets). It never contains audio, the apps you listen to, your name, email address, license key, file paths, or any identifier of you or your Mac. Reports are stored privately for 30 days and used only to fix crashes. Like any request to our host, the sending of a report appears in the host's request log (address and page), which we keep for a limited time.
What we hold when you buy
Paddle.com is the merchant of record. It collects your payment details, name, email address and billing country, and is responsible for that data under its own privacy policy. We receive from Paddle the transaction, the product you bought and your email address. We store the license we issued to you, a one-way hash of your email address so we can resend a lost key, and a masked form of the address for display. We use your email address to send your license and for support, not for marketing.
Website
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics. The checkout is run by Paddle and may set cookies of its own. Our host logs requests (address and page) for security and abuse prevention, and keeps those logs for a limited time.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete or correct the data we hold about you by writing to support@vondant.com.
